Dr Lucinda Morris (BA, MBBS, FRANZCR, GradCert Clinical Redesign)


Dr Lucinda Morris is a radiation oncology fellow based at the Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre, Sydney. She is an emerging young leader in oncology, currently Chairing the RANZCR Targeting Cancer Working and Advisory Group and is a past Chair of the RANZCR Radiation Oncology Trainee Committee.  In 2015 she was shortlisted for UICC Young Leaders Summit and voted a Finalist for the AMA Registrar of the Year. Dr Morris is a passionate advocate for cancer patients and has played a key role in all aspects of the Targeting Cancer campaign, an international platform to raise the awareness of radiation therapy as a highly effective, safe and cost-effective treatment for cancer (targetingcancer.com.au). Her work on raising community and general practitioner awareness of the benefits of radiation therapy has been presented and published both nationally and internationally. She is actively engaged in education and mentorship and currently leads an international collaboration to develop a geriatric oncology curriculum for trainee radiation oncologists. In addition, Dr Morris is a teacher on the ESTRO Foundations of Leadership Course. Dr Morris is actively involved in clinical research and holds membership with the International Society of Geriatric Oncology (SIOG) and is a member of the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA) Geriatric Oncology Group. Her key areas of research focus on quality improvement and clinical redesign in cancer care and geriatric cancer medicine.
